Gentamicin
Mechanism of action:
Gentamicin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic. Gentamicin irreversibly binds to the 30S ribosomal subunit, interfering with the accurate reading of mRNA and causing incorrect amino acids to be incorporated into proteins, resulting in abnormal or nonfunctional proteins.
