Tocilizumab

Mechanism of action:

Tocilizumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody against the interleukin-6 receptor. Tocilizumab binds both the membrane-bound IL-6 receptor and the soluble IL-6 receptor, preventing IL-6 from binding to them and thereby interrupting downstream signaling pathways, including pro-inflammatory cascades such as JAK-STAT and MAPK.
