Acenocoumarol


Mechanism of action:

Acenocoumarol inhibits the activity of vitamin K epoxide reductase in the liver, thereby blocking the regeneration of vitamin K. As a result, the synthesis of clotting factors II, VII, IX, and X is suppressed, reducing the blood's ability to coagulate.
