Aurothioglucose

Mechanism of action:

Aurothioglucose does not have a fully clarified mechanism of action. However, some studies suggest that its gold ion (Au⁺) may bind to sulfhydryl (-SH) groups on adenylyl cyclase, thereby suppressing immune cell metabolism and inflammatory responses.
