Bemiparin


Mechanism of action:

Bemiparin is a low molecular weight heparin. It mainly acts by binding to antithrombin III and enhancing its activity, thereby inhibiting coagulation factor Xa and reducing the conversion of prothrombin into thrombin, which in turn decreases fibrin formation. In addition, bemiparin also binds to antithrombin III to enhance its activity, thereby lowering the likelihood of thrombus formation and expansion.
