Brinzolamide

Mechanism of action:
Brinzolamide is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor. In the epithelial cells of the ciliary processes, carbonic anhydrase II participates in aqueous humor production. Brinzolamide inhibits the activity of carbonic anhydrase II, thereby decreasing aqueous humor secretion and consequently affecting intraocular pressure.
