Bupropion

Mechanism of action:

Bupropion is a norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitor. It blocks the reuptake functions of the norepinephrine transporter and dopamine transporter on the presynaptic membrane, increasing synaptic concentrations of norepinephrine and dopamine. This in turn influences neural transmission involved in attention, mood, and addiction-related neural circuits.
