Certoparin

Mechanism of action:

Certoparin is a low molecular weight heparin. Certoparin binds to antithrombin III and enhances its inhibitory effect on coagulation factor Xa. This prevents factor Xa from efficiently promoting thrombin generation, reducing the conversion of prothrombin into thrombin. As a result, subsequent fibrin formation is blocked, helping to prevent thrombus formation.
