Darunavir

Mechanism of action:
Darunavir is an HIV-1 protease inhibitor. Darunavir binds with high affinity to the active site of HIV-1 protease, preventing the enzyme from cleaving the Gag-Pol polyprotein precursor into functional proteins. As a result, newly produced viral particles remain immature and noninfectious.
