Dulaglutide
Mechanism of action:
Dulaglutide is a modified recombinant fusion protein based on human glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1). It is a GLP-1 receptor agonist and belongs to the incretin mimetic class. The structure of dulaglutide mimics GLP-1 and binds to GLP-1 receptors on pancreatic β cells. Activation of the receptor stimulates adenylate cyclase, increases intracellular cAMP levels, and enhances glucose-dependent insulin secretion.
