Enalaprilat


Mechanism of action:

Enalaprilat is an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor. It inhibits angiotensin-converting enzyme, which is responsible for converting angiotensin I into angiotensin II, a molecule that promotes vasoconstriction and raises blood pressure. When enalaprilat inhibits this enzyme, angiotensin II levels decrease, reducing vasoconstrictive signaling and lowering hemodynamic load.
