Estramustine
Mechanism of action:
Estramustine is a conjugated molecule formed by estradiol and nitrogen mustard. After metabolic conversion in the body, estramustine and its related phosphate formulation, estramustine phosphate, generate active forms that bind to microtubule-associated proteins and β-tubulin. This disrupts microtubule polymerization and stability, prevents proper spindle formation, and ultimately blocks cell division.
