Febuxostat

Mechanism of action:

Febuxostat is a xanthine oxidase inhibitor. Febuxostat inhibits the activity of xanthine oxidase, thereby suppressing the oxidation of hypoxanthine to xanthine and the further oxidation of xanthine to uric acid, reducing uric acid crystal deposition.
