Fidaxomicin

Mechanism of action:
Fidaxomicin is a macrocyclic antibiotic. Fidaxomicin binds to bacterial RNA polymerase and prevents it from forming a stable initiation complex (open complex) with the DNA promoter, thereby inhibiting bacterial RNA synthesis.
