Follitropin alfa

Mechanism of action:

Follitropin alfa is a recombinant human follicle-stimulating hormone. When follitropin alfa binds to the follicle-stimulating hormone receptor in the ovary or testis, it activates the Gs protein, which stimulates adenylate cyclase and increases cAMP levels, thereby promoting signaling pathways and gene expression associated with germ cell development.
