Griseofulvin

Mechanism of action:
Griseofulvin has selective inhibitory activity against dermatophytes. Griseofulvin binds to tubulin within fungal cells and inhibits formation of the mitotic spindle, causing fungal cells to arrest at metaphase during mitosis and thereby suppressing fungal proliferation.
