Hydralazine


Mechanism of action:

Hydralazine does not have a fully clear mechanism, but it may act by affecting intracellular calcium dynamics in smooth muscle cells, such as reducing intracellular Ca²⁺ availability, including inhibition of IP₃-mediated calcium release pathways. This lowers cytosolic calcium concentration, preventing smooth muscle from contracting effectively and thereby causing vasodilation.
