Letrozole


Mechanism of action:

Letrozole is a non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor. Aromatase is responsible for converting androstenedione into estrone and testosterone into estradiol. By inhibiting aromatase activity, letrozole lowers estrogen levels in the body and thereby reduces estrogen receptor-driven stimulation of tumor proliferation.
