Liraglutide


Mechanism of action:

Liraglutide is a glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist. By binding to GLP-1 receptors on pancreatic β cells, liraglutide promotes glucose-dependent insulin secretion while also suppressing glucagon release, delaying gastric emptying, and reducing appetite, thereby lowering postprandial and fasting glucose-related burden.
