Mesoridazine

Mechanism of action:

Mesoridazine is a phenothiazine derivative and the major active metabolite of thioridazine. Mesoridazine blocks dopamine D₂ receptors in the mesolimbic pathway, reducing excessive dopamine activity and thereby decreasing psychotic symptoms associated with excessive dopaminergic signaling, such as hallucinations, delusions, and disorganized thinking.
