Methocarbamol

Mechanism of action:

Methocarbamol is a centrally acting skeletal muscle relaxant and a carbamate derivative. Its exact mechanism remains unclear, but it is thought to suppress polysynaptic reflex activity at the spinal cord and brainstem levels, thereby reducing muscle spasms. Methocarbamol does not directly block the muscle contraction mechanism.
