Methoxyflurane

Mechanism of action:

Methoxyflurane is a fluorinated ether derivative. Its receptor mechanism has not been fully defined, but it is known to enhance the inhibitory actions of GABA_A and glycine receptors, increasing neuronal responsiveness to inhibitory signals and reducing central nervous system excitability.
