Nalbuphine

Mechanism of action:

Nalbuphine is an opioid drug. Nalbuphine acts as an agonist of the κ-opioid receptor, and activation of the κ-opioid receptor can suppress pain signal transmission in the dorsal horn of the spinal cord. Nalbuphine also antagonizes the μ-opioid receptor, so its analgesic effect does not depend on the μ receptor.
