Naphazoline

Mechanism of action:

Naphazoline is an imidazoline derivative. Naphazoline activates adrenergic α-receptors, mainly the α₁ receptor. For example, naphazoline can activate α₁ receptors on vascular smooth muscle, causing vasoconstriction and reducing local blood flow.
