Ofatumumab
Mechanism of action:
Ofatumumab is a first-generation anti-CD20 IgG1 monoclonal antibody. The target of ofatumumab is the CD20 antigen on the surface of B cells. After ofatumumab binds to CD20, its Fc region recruits complement protein C1q, initiating the complement cascade and forming the membrane attack complex (MAC), which leads to B cell membrane rupture and death.
