Oseltamivir


Mechanism of action:

Oseltamivir is a neuraminidase inhibitor. Oseltamivir is a prodrug that is converted by esterases in the liver into the active metabolite oseltamivir carboxylate. This active metabolite inhibits neuraminidase (NA) on the surface of influenza viruses, preventing viral particles from being released from infected cells.
