Pancrelipase lipase
Mechanism of action:
Pancreatic lipase hydrolyzes triglycerides into 2-monoglycerides, free fatty acids, and related products. These then combine with bile salts to form mixed micelles, which can pass through the brush border of the small intestine and enter enterocytes. Colipase helps pancreatic lipase remain stably attached to the fat surface in the presence of bile salts.
