Paromomycin

Mechanism of action:

Paromomycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic. Paromomycin irreversibly binds to the 30S ribosomal subunit, interfering with the correct reading of mRNA and causing incorrect amino acids to be incorporated into proteins, thereby producing abnormal or nonfunctional proteins.
