Perindopril


Mechanism of action:

Perindopril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor and a dipeptide prodrug. In the body, Perindopril is converted into the active form perindoprilat. Perindoprilat inhibits angiotensin-converting enzyme, which normally converts angiotensin I into angiotensin II, thereby reducing peripheral vascular resistance and lowering blood pressure.
