Praziquantel

Mechanism of action:

Praziquantel is a pyrazinoisoquinoline derivative. Praziquantel acts on the parasite's voltage-gated Ca2+ channels, causing a massive influx of calcium ions that produces sustained muscle contraction and leads to spastic paralysis.
