Ranolazine

Mechanism of action:
Ranolazine is a cardiac metabolic and ion current modulator. Under ischemic or injured conditions, cardiomyocytes may develop an abnormal increase in the late sodium current, leading to intracellular sodium accumulation. Ranolazine binds to voltage-gated sodium channels and inhibits the late sodium current in cardiomyocytes.
