Rimegepant

Mechanism of action:

Rimegepant is a calcitonin gene-related peptide receptor antagonist. The calcitonin gene-related peptide receptor is a receptor complex composed of the calcitonin receptor-like receptor and receptor-activity-modifying protein 1. When rimegepant binds to this receptor, it blocks calcitonin gene-related peptide-induced intracranial vasodilation, neurogenic inflammation, and amplification of pain signaling.
