Rofecoxib

Mechanism of action:

Rofecoxib is a selective cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitor. Rofecoxib inhibits cyclooxygenase-2, or COX-2, thereby blocking the conversion of arachidonic acid into prostaglandins and prostacyclin, and reducing inflammation, pain, and fever.
