Sulindac


Mechanism of action:

Sulindac is first reduced in the body to its active metabolite, sulindac sulfide. Sulindac sulfide inhibits cyclooxygenase, including COX-1 and COX-2, thereby blocking the conversion of arachidonic acid into prostaglandins and thromboxanes and reducing inflammation and pain perception.
