Tobramycin


Mechanism of action:

Tobramycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic. Tobramycin irreversibly binds to 16S rRNA and the S12 protein within the 30S ribosomal subunit, disrupting accurate mRNA decoding and causing incorrect amino acids to be incorporated into proteins, resulting in abnormal or nonfunctional proteins.
