Trifluoperazine

Mechanism of action:

Trifluoperazine is a phenothiazine derivative. It primarily blocks dopamine D2 receptors, which are Gi/o protein-coupled receptors, in the mesolimbic pathway, thereby reducing the positive symptoms caused by excessive dopaminergic activity.
