Aztreonam

Mechanism of action:

Aztreonam 是一種單環 β-內醯胺抗生素（monobactam antibiotic），作用於革蘭氏陰性菌。Aztreonam 能與革蘭氏陰性菌的青黴素結合蛋白（penicillin-binding proteins，PBPs）結合，特別是 PBP-3，以抑制細胞壁肽聚醣（peptidoglycan）的交聯，阻止細菌細胞壁合成。當細菌的細胞壁失去完整性，會引起滲透壓失衡，最終細菌發生溶解而死亡。
