Deferoxamine

去鐵胺

Mechanism of action:

Deferoxamine 是一種鐵螯合劑（iron chelating agent），屬於三羥肟酸鐵載體（trihydroxamic acid siderophore），可與鐵形成六齒配位八面體複合物（hexadentate octahedral complex）。鐵與 deferoxamine 結合後不再參與芬頓反應（Fe²⁺ + H₂O₂ → •OH + OH⁻ + Fe³⁺），因此可減少自由基形成與氧化性細胞損傷。鐵-deferoxamine 複合物之後主要經腎臟隨尿液排出。
