Hydroxyurea

羥基脲

Mechanism of action:

Hydroxyurea 是一種核苷酸合成抑制劑(ribonucleotide reductase inhibitor)。Hydroxyurea 能抑制核糖核苷酸還原酶(ribonucleotide reductase)的活性,使去氧核糖核苷酸(deoxyribonucleotides)無法生成,導致 DNA 無法複製,進而抑制腫瘤細胞的增殖。Hydroxyurea 也能促進胎兒血紅素(HbF)表達增加,HbF 不易形成鐮刀狀結構,可減少紅血球變形、溶血與血管阻塞。
