Nicotinic acid/Niacin

煙酸

Mechanism of action:

Nicotinic acid,是維生素 B₃, 吡啶羧酸類(pyridinecarboxylic acid)衍生物,是生物體合成 NAD⁺/NADP⁺ 的必需前體。Nicotinic acid 進入細胞後會藉由菸鹼酸磷酸核醣轉移酶(nicotinate phosphoribosyltransferase)轉變成菸鹼酸單核苷酸(nicotinic acid mononucleotide,NaMN),之後再由菸鹼酸單核苷酸腺苷酸轉移酶(nicotinic acid mononucleotide adenylyltransferase)生成菸鹼酸腺嘌呤二核苷酸(nicotinic acid adenine dinucleotide,NaAD),另外再由菸鹼醯胺腺嘌呤二核苷酸合成酶(NAD⁺ synthetase)生成 NAD⁺。NAD⁺ 可經過 NAD 激酶(NAD kinase)合成 NADP⁺。
