Ceftizoxime

Ceftizoxime 是一種第三代頭孢菌素抗生素（third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic）。Ceftizoxime 的 β-內醯胺（β-lactam）環可與細菌的青黴素結合蛋白（penicillin-binding proteins，PBPs）結合，抑制其轉肽酶（transpeptidase）活性，使肽聚醣（peptidoglycan）鏈無法交聯，最後細胞壁結構脆弱，因滲透壓而讓細菌裂解死亡。
