Mechanism of action:
Celecoxib 是一種選擇性環氧化酶-2 抑制劑（selective COX-2 inhibitor）。環氧化酶-2（cyclooxygenase-2，COX-2）是在發炎時被誘導表達的酵素，負責將花生四烯酸（arachidonic acid）轉 化為前列腺素（prostaglandins）。前列腺素能促進血管擴張與滲出、疼痛感傳導、發燒反應。Celecoxib 選擇性抑制環氧化酶-2 的酵素活性，使這些前列腺素生成減少，能抗發炎、止痛、並可降低發炎相關的發燒反應。
