Daunorubicin

Mechanism of action:
Daunorubicin 是一種抗腫瘤性抗生素（antineoplastic antibiotic），屬於蒽環類（anthracycline）化合物，由波賽鏈黴菌（Streptomyces peucetius）提取而得。Daunorubicin 的平面芳香環結構可插入 DNA 鹼基對之間，改變 DNA 的構型並干擾 DNA 複製與轉錄，阻止癌細胞增殖。此外，daunorubicin 可穩定 DNA-拓撲異構酶 II（topoisomerase II）複合物，阻止 DNA 雙股在切斷後的重新接合，導致不可修復的 DNA 雙股斷裂，最終引發細胞凋亡。
