Levodopa

左旋多巴
Mechanism of action:
Levodopa 是一種多巴胺前驅物(dopamine precursor)。多巴胺本身無法有效通過血腦障壁,而 levodopa 可經由 大型中性胺基酸轉運蛋白(large neutral amino acid transporter)進入中樞神經系統。Levodopa 進入腦內後,由芳香族 L-胺基酸脫羧酶(aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase)轉化為多巴胺(dopamine),補充因黑質-紋狀體路徑退化所缺乏的多巴胺。
