Mechanism of action:
Lubiprostone 是一種前列腺素 E₁（prostaglandin E₁）衍生物。Lubiprostone 會促進小腸與大腸上皮細胞的氯離子分泌，使氯離子進入腸腔，同時鈉離子與水分會被動隨之進入腸腔，增加腸內容物的液體量，讓糞便變軟。
