Omega-3 脂肪酸乙酯
Mechanism of action:
Omega-3-acid ethyl esters 是指 ω-3 多元不飽和脂肪酸乙酯混合物,主要成分為二十碳五烯酸(EPA,eicosapentaenoic acid)與二十二碳六烯酸(DHA,docosahexaenoic acid)的乙酯型態。EPA 與 DHA 會抑制肝臟脂肪酸合成,降低二酸甘油酯醯基轉移酶(diglyceride acyltransferase)活性,使肝臟合成三酸甘油脂(triglyceride)的能力下降,使極低密度脂蛋白(very low-density lipoprotein,VLDL)生成下降;也會活化與脂肪酸 β-氧化(β-oxidation)相關的核內受體(如 PPAR-α),增加肝臟與週邊組織對脂肪酸的利用。
