Mechanism of action:

Pegvisomant 是一種生長激素受體拮抗劑（growth hormone receptor antagonist）。Pegvisomant 能競爭性結合生長激素受體（growth hormone receptor），導致受體無法被活化，阻斷 JAK-STAT 訊號傳導，主要目的是抑制肝臟的胰島素樣生長因子1（IGF-1）生成。
