Phenytoin

Mechanism of action:
Phenytoin 是一種乙內醯脲類（hydantoin）衍生物。Phenytoin 能阻斷不活化狀態的鈉離子通道（sodium channel），延長通道的不活化時間，使神經元在短時間內無法再次產生動作電位。這對正常低頻神經放電影響較小，但能選擇性抑制癲癇特有的高頻、同步性放電，從而中斷癲癇放電在皮質中的擴散。
