Tazobactam

他唑巴坦

Mechanism of action:

Tazobactam 是一種 β-內醯胺酶抑制劑（β-lactamase inhibitor），主要作用是保護 β-內醯胺類抗生素被細菌的 β-內醯胺酶分解，而本身沒有顯著的抗菌活性。Tazobactam 也是一種 β-內醯胺環結構（β-lactam ring）的化合物，結構上與青黴素相似，但抗菌活性極弱。當細菌的 β-內醯胺酶攻擊 tazobactam 的 β-內醯胺環後，tazobactam 會形成不可逆抑制，使 β-內醯胺酶失活，就能讓同時服用的另一種 β-內醯胺類抗生素免於遭受 β-內醯胺酶的攻擊。
