Mechanism of action:
Tegaserod 是一種選擇性血清素 5-HT₄ 受體部分促效劑（selective 5-HT₄ receptor partial agonist）。Tegaserod 能作用於腸道副交感神經與腸神經叢上的 5-HT₄ 受體，增加乙醯膽鹼（acetylcholine）的釋放，促進腸道平滑肌收縮，加快腸道蠕動與傳輸時間。
